Sultan Tech, earning a National Higher Diploma (NHD) in Technical Studies in 1999. His commitment to education continued as he enrolled at the University of Durban Westville, achieving a Bachelor of Education (Honours) in Technology Education in 2002. Demonstrating a passion for inclusive education, he furthered his academic pursuits at the Embury Institute for Education, obtaining a qualification in LSEN (Inclusive Education) in 2007. His dedication to education management and leadership led him to the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal, where he earned a Bachelor of Education (Honours) in 2013, a Master of Education in 2016, and ultimately a Ph.D. in Education from the University of Fort Hare in 2023.

Concurrently, he contributed to higher education as a part-time lecturer at UFS (Qwaqwa Campus) from 2017 to 2019, focusing on Social Justice. His dedication to academic development extended to Varsity College-DBN-North, where he served as a part-time Research Proposal Lecturer from July 2018 to November 2019.
