Vinay Kumar currently holds the position of Research Assistant at Tiger Cell (NTCA), Karnataka Forest Department. Prior to this, he served as a Research Scholar at the Department of P.G. Studies and Research in Wildlife and Management, Kuvempu University. His research focus and dedication led him to complete his Ph.D., with a dissertation on "Ecology and Conservation of Blackbuck Antilope cervicapra in Basur Amruth Mahal Kaval Blackbuck Conservation Reserve, Karnataka."
