He completed his Bachelor's degree in Clinical Biochemistry from the University of Calabar in 2007, where his research focused on the comparative effects of Gonglonma Latifolium and Occium Gratissium on alloxan-induced diabetic rats. This early research laid the foundation for his interest in studying the biochemical mechanisms underlying diseases.

He then pursued a Master's degree in Biochemistry (Biochemical Toxicology) from the same institution, graduating in 2015. His thesis, which explored the comparative effects of two anti-diabetic plants on streptozotocin-induced diabetic rats, showcased his growing expertise in toxicology and plant biochemistry.

Since October 2017, he has served as a Lecturer in the Department of Biochemistry at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Nigeria.
