From a young age, his dedication to education and determination to excel was evident.

His pursuit of higher education took him to Debre Tabor University, where he studied Animal Science and graduated with a stellar CGPA of 3.99, earning recognition as a top academic performer in his department. Building on this foundation, he pursued a Master of Science in Animal Nutrition and Feed Processing at Debre Markos University, graduating with an impressive CGPA of 3.84 and earning a “Very Good” rating on his thesis work. This academic phase not only equipped him with in-depth technical knowledge but also nurtured his passion for research and teaching.

Wondimagegn’s academic brilliance translated seamlessly into a career in higher education. He is currently a Lecturer, Researcher, and Head of the Department of Animal Science at Kebri Dehar University. His passion for neurosciences led him to pursue a PhD in Synaptic Plasticity, Aging Effects, and Long Term Potentiation, which he successfully completed in 2004. Throughout his early academic years, Dr. Almaguer Melian engaged in various postgraduate courses, workshops, and international schools, enhancing his expertise in cognitive neuroscience, gene and neurotrophic therapies, research ethics, and pedagogy.
