His early education laid a strong foundation, starting from Messela Elementary School and continuing through Chagni Secondary and Preparatory Schools. From a young age, his dedication to education and determination to excel was evident.

His pursuit of higher education took him to Debre Tabor University, where he studied Animal Science and graduated with a stellar CGPA of 3.99, earning recognition as a top academic performer in his department. Building on this foundation, he pursued a Master of Science in Animal Nutrition and Feed Processing at Debre Markos University, graduating with an impressive CGPA of 3.84 and earning a “Very Good” rating on his thesis work. This academic phase not only equipped him with in-depth technical knowledge but also nurtured his passion for research and teaching.

Wondimagegn’s academic brilliance translated seamlessly into a career in higher education. He is currently a Lecturer, Researcher, and Head of the Department of Animal Science at Kebri Dehar University. Since November 2020, he has served as the department head, showcasing his leadership skills while continuing to contribute meaningfully as a teacher and academic advisor.

Dr. Ashay Pramod Karpe embarked on his academic journey at Seth G. S. Medical College, K. E. M. Hospital, Mumbai, where he earned his M.B.B.S. degree in the period of September 1996 to January 2002. Demonstrating exceptional academic prowess, he continued his studies at Govt. Medical College & Hospital, Aurangabad, securing the Gold Medal in M.D. (General Medicine) in March 2007.

Professional Endeavors:

Dr. Karpe's commitment to medical excellence led him to pursue a D.M. (Medical Oncology) at Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, where he emerged as the Gold Medallist of the 2012 batch. Subsequently, he further honed his expertise as a Fellow in Clinical Haematology at Tata Medical Center, Kolkata, playing a pivotal role in establishing a Stem Cell Transplant unit.

His dedication continued as a Sp. Registrar (Clinical Haematology) at Sahyadri Speciality Hospital, Pune, from June 2007 to November 2010. During this time, he gained extensive experience in both clinical and laboratory haematology, conducting various Stem Cell Transplants.

Dr. Karpe's research focus spans solid tumors, hematological malignancies, and stem cell transplant. His contributions include managing recurrent oral cancers, exploring metronomic palliative chemotherapy, and addressing rare congenital bleeding disorders. Notably, his involvement as Co-principal Investigator in clinical trials like VANTAGE 088 underscores his commitment to advancing medical knowledge.
