Sachin Kumar Srivastava embarked on his academic journey with a strong foundation in Physics. He completed his Bachelor's degree (B.Sc.) with honors from D.D.U. Gorakhpur University in 2004, followed by a Master's degree (M.Sc.) in Physics with a specialization in Electronics in 2006. His exceptional performance in academics earned him the Gold Medal for securing the highest marks in M.Sc. Physics at DDU Gorakhpur University.

Moving forward, Sachin pursued a Ph.D. in Physics at IIT Delhi from 2008 to 2012 under the supervision of Prof. Banshi D. Gupta. His doctoral research focused on "Propagating and localized surface plasmon resonance-based fiber optic sensors." This marked the beginning of his specialization in the field of optical sensors.

Professional Endeavors

Sachin Kumar Srivastava's professional journey has been marked by significant contributions and achievements. After completing his Ph.D., he held various positions globally, showcasing his commitment to research and academic excellence. Notably, he served as a Post-Doctoral Researcher at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev in Israel, where he was awarded the prestigious "PBC Postdoctoral Fellowship for Outstanding Researchers from India and China" by the Government of the State of Israel in 2012.

His dedication to research also led him to Singapore, where he worked as a Research Fellow at Nanyang Technological University from October 2015 to August 2016. Subsequently, he joined CSIR-CSIO in Chandigarh, India, first as an INSPIRE Faculty and later as a Scientist.

In 2018, Sachin Kumar Srivastava joined the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics. His expertise and leadership skills were further recognized when he was appointed as a Joint Faculty at the Center for Photonics and Quantum Communication Technology at IIT Roorkee in July 2022.
