His research focused on the "Effect of Heat Treatment on Erosion Behavior of 13/4 Martensitic Stainless Steel." This laid the foundation for his subsequent Ph.D. in Materials Science & Engineering at Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology, where he delved into "Thermo-mechanical Processing of HSLA steels."

Over the past 17 years, Dr. Panwar has dedicated himself to education and academic administration. His roles have evolved from Research Fellow at the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee to Professor & Director at Maharaja Agrasen University.
