He started his academic journey with a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture Engineering from the Islamic Azad University, Varamin branch, in 2001. His interest in plant pathology led him to pursue a Master's degree in Plant Pathology with a focus on Curriculum Virology at the Islamic Azad University of Tehran in 2003. Building on his Master's studies, he earned his Ph.D. in Plant Pathology with a specialization in Curriculum Virology in 2007, also from the Islamic Azad University of Tehran.

Since 2003, Farshad Rakhshandehroo has been a faculty member at the Department of Plant Pathology, College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Science and Research Branch, Islamic Azad University, Tehran, Iran.
