Prof. Sujata Mohanty began her academic journey with a Master's degree in Bio-Science from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, India, in 1991. She further pursued a Ph.D. in Biotechnology at the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, and completed her doctoral studies in 1996. Following this, she undertook a Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Platelet Disorders at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, USA, in 1998, focusing on Bio-Science.

Professional Endeavors:

Prof. Mohanty's professional career has been marked by a series of progressively responsible positions at AIIMS, New Delhi. Starting as a Scientist-II in the Department of Hematology in 1999, she later became a part of the Department of Medical Oncology, AIIMS, holding the same position from 2002 to 2005. Over the years, she climbed the academic ladder at AIIMS, serving as Associate Professor from 2005 to 2012, then as Additional Professor until 2016, and finally as a Professor since July 2016. Her expertise and leadership have been instrumental in the development of stem cell research at AIIMS.
