Jin Yanlin was born in August 1997 in Chuxiong, Yunnan. From a young age, Jin exhibited a keen interest in mechanical systems and engineering, which later guided him to pursue a degree in Energy and Power Engineering at Chang’an University. His undergraduate years were marked by exceptional academic performance, consistently ranking first in his major for three consecutive years. His academic excellence earned him a National Scholarship for three consecutive years and the prestigious “Growing Star” award, which is the highest honor at Chang’an University.

During his undergraduate studies, Jin developed a strong foundation in vehicle dynamics and kinematics. He excelled in coursework and engaged in numerous extracurricular activities and competitions, showcasing his skills and knowledge in engineering and technology.

🚗Professional Endeavors 

In September 2020, Jin Yanlin embarked on his PhD journey at the School of Mechanical and Vehicle Engineering, Chongqing University. His admission to the State Key Laboratory of Mechanical Transmission was a testament to his outstanding academic record and potential in the field of mechanical engineering. At Chongqing University, he focused on Vehicle Engineering, particularly in decision-making, planning, and control.

Jin’s expertise extends to various algorithms essential for intelligent vehicle behavior decision-making. He is proficient in reinforcement learning, inverse reinforcement learning, and motion planning methods like discrete sampling and artificial potential fields. Additionally, Jin has mastered control algorithms such as Model Predictive Control (MPC), decoupling control, and Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID) control. His programming skills include C++, Python, and Matlab/Simulink, making him a versatile and skilled engineer.
