Lucas Infantozzi Albertoni is a medical doctor and specialist in Indigenous Health with extensive experience working directly with Indigenous peoples in the Brazilian Amazon, particularly isolated and recently contacted groups. He completed his medical degree and later pursued postgraduate training in Indigenous Health at UNIFESP and Medical Acupuncture at CEIMEC, strengthening his multidisciplinary expertise in public health and integrative care. Throughout his career, he has served in multidisciplinary Indigenous health teams in the DSEI Vale do Javari and DSEI Rio Tapajós, contributing to malaria control strategies, outbreak response, environmental health surveillance, and culturally sensitive primary care. Albertoni has also worked as a technical consultant for organizations including the Centro de Trabalho Indigenista, the Organization of the Treaty for Amazon Cooperation, and the Observatory for the Human Rights of Isolated and Recently Contacted Indigenous Peoples, supporting contingency planning, epidemic preparedness, cross-border health strategies, and digital vulnerability-monitoring platforms. His research interests include Indigenous health policies, mercury contamination in Amazonian populations, environmental impacts of mining, epidemiological surveillance, and protection protocols for isolated groups. He has participated in national strategic health committees and contributes to research groups within Fiocruz and federal universities. Albertoni remains dedicated to improving healthcare access, cultural respect, and environmental justice for Indigenous peoples in Brazil.
